The quintessential daily do-it-all bike is also your family bicycle. The Fr8 child saddle is integrated into the front carrier mounting as if it were part of the bike itself. Kids love to be up front on the bike, they can see everything and it’s much easier to chat while riding. The child saddle is designed specifically for the Fr8 and because of the Fr8’s frame geometry and long wheelbase the adult still has ample room to pedal even with an 8 year old on the child saddle. Add a crate to the front carrier for all your shopping and gear or some panniers on the long rear carrier. It’s the perfect bicycle for taking the children to daycare or school before you head off to work, or for a fun day out with the family.   A stripped down universal frame transport bike without the front carrier. Easily park your bicycle in a shared bike rack that has narrow spacing and doesn’t allow enough room for the front carrier. You love the Fr8, but you just don’t need that front carrier. It’s a handy feature and for most customers one of the many reasons for purchasing the bike. However there can be a reason that you don’t want or need the front carrier. For example you need to lock your bicycle in a shared bike rack that has narrow spacing and doesn’t allow enough room for the front carrier. It could be that you travel to work every day by a combination of bike & train travel and getting your Fr8 in and out of the train station bike parking is easier without the front carrier. Or you just prefer the minimal look, whatever the reason it’s still a great riding WorkCycles Fr8 bicycle and thanks to the modular system you can always add the front carrier later if you do need it after all.

  WorkCycles Gr8 Commute

  A perfect commuter! The Gr8 was always intended to be a city bicycle. The Gr8’s frame is more compact than the Fr8 and tuned for riding with a light or no load. With it’s shorter frame, smaller tires, thinner tubing, fenders, rear carrier and several other parts it's much lighter than the Fr8 without sacrificing stiffness or strength. When designing the Gr8 our focus shifted to reducing the volume as much as possible while still remaining a full-sized Dutch bike to fit a broad range of riders. The mounting points for the front and rear carriers are the same on both Fr8 and Gr8. Bags, crates, baskets, add whatever you like to make your Gr8 complete.

  Probably the most sold Fr8 setup. This is what a real transport bicycle looks like, it’s your daily hauler do-it-all bike. Even if you don’t particularly need a transport bike to haul stuff around town all day this setup will serve you well as a reliable, comfortable and practical multi-purpose city bike.

A bakfiets is an ideal way to transport goods, groceries, tools or whatever you need around the city. The majority of Kr8s are used for family transport but many small businesses have also proven its value as a heavy-duty transporter. A WorkCycles Kr8 is an investment, but a great solution for a practical, comfortable and durable vehicle that will provide years of reliable service in all conditions. Like the Fr8 and Gr8 bicycles, the Kr8 also has a modular frame design, superb ergonomics, various options and accessories.

  WorkCycles Fr8 Junior

  Our all-in-one package. The ‘Junior’ is a Fr8 universal frame, front and rear carriers, integrated child saddle and the extra kid’s seats that you'll need for a growing family. The ideal daily do-it-all transport bike for a family with two growing children. This setup includes the Fr8 child saddle and two additional age specific seats to choose from. The Fr8 Jr package means you can get all the child seats you’ll need for the coming years in one purchase. The Fr8 child saddle is suitable for a child of 4 to around 8 years. The Yepp mini is for a child of 9 months to around 3 and a half years and the Qibbel rear seat is for a child of 9 months to around 6 years. The chromoly Fr8 frame is strong and exceptionally stiff, one child on the front and one on the back does not affect the handling. In fact riding this way actually balances the weight nicely on the bike and because of the Fr8’s frame geometry and long wheelbase both rider and passengers have plenty of room. The Fr8 child saddle is removable, however it is so well integrated into the design that you can use a Yepp mini without having to remove the child saddle, the Yepp mini fits neatly over the top. For most riders a crate mounted on the front carrier is enough cargo space for school bags and whatnot, some riders prefer to have a set of panniers as well. If you do need a Yepp mini and cargo crate we make a special mini seat compatible crate, the MT crate child.

Kids love to be in the front seat on the bike, so much so that it can lead to arguments between children over who gets to sit up front. One of the nice things about the Fr8 Twins setup is that the children can take turns sitting up front. The Fr8 child saddle is suitable for a child of 4 to around 8 years and the Fr8 single seat is for a child of 5+ years. The chromoly Fr8 frame is strong and exceptionally stiff, one child on the front and one on the back does not affect the handling. In fact riding this way actually balances the weight nicely on the bike and because of the Fr8’s frame geometry and long wheelbase both rider and passengers have plenty of room. The Fr8 also looks more elegant as the bulky bucket type child seats are no longer necessary. Drop the kids at school before work and pick them up when the day is done. The chromoly Fr8 frame is strong and exceptionally stiff, one child on the front and two on the back does not affect the handling. The double seat bakes full use of the long rear carrier and footrest mounting points, additional rear panniers aren't possible. However you can still add a large crate to the front carrier for all your shopping and gear. Though the Fr8 triple is outfitted for maximum child transport capacity it still looks charming as the those bulky bucket type seats are no longer necessary.
